Study abroad programs in Israel - summer and winter 2013: Coexistence in the Middle East

Experience the challenge of human diversity overseas where civilizations, religions and cultures converge...

"Coexistence in the Middle East" is a study abroad summer course in Israel, which seeks to promote coexistence through a series of academic field trips and lectures that enable international exchange students to interact with different cultures. This overseas program offers academic credits at the Rothberg international School of The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, one of World's top 100 universities.

Testimonials - Overseas Exchange Students - International Programs

“This study abroad summer program has been an experience of personal and intellectual growth. Usually when people speak of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, they refer to political agreements and disagreements of the past century. But what many people overseas never see are the humbling projects in coexistence that are taking place throughout Israel. We explored how coexistence does not just have to be two peoples living separately side by side, but can also be many peoples who have common goals cooperating on projects that advance the entire Middle East. As an exchange student, this international program at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem taught me that the strength of both individual and shared identity makes coexistence between Arabs and Jews not only possible, but a growing reality."
